This girl has such willpower!
Jen Bricker-Bauer was born without legs. Her mother abandoned her, but she was very lucky, and soon a wonderful family adopted her.

From childhood, her adoptive parents told her not to be afraid of anything. And Jen listened. Even at a young age, she could play basketball and volleyball like everyone else, and later even became an aerialist.

Doctors said the girl wouldn’t be able to sit up on her own, let alone walk. But she believed in herself, and most importantly, her parents did everything they could to ensure the little girl’s health. Thus, Jen learned to walk on her hands just as well as anyone else on their feet.

When she was just 8 years old, she became interested in gymnastics. It all stemmed from watching the 1996 Olympics on television, rooting for her favorite athlete, Dominique Moceanu. Imagine Jen’s surprise when she later learned that Dominique was her sister!

So, inspired, Jen began training—and achieved success. No one believed a girl without legs could do it. But she became a champion and proved to everyone that anything is possible.

Now Jen is all grown up, a professional acrobat and performs aerial feats that many legged athletes can’t. She’s also closer to her birth family and is happy.
Jen even married her beloved man, and she and her husband are planning to have children soon. So, let’s just wish this strong woman the best of luck!
